Borderline and Eating Adaptations in Gestalt Psychotherapy - Advanced Training Workshop in Bukarest, Romania

Borderline and Eating Adaptations in Gestalt Psychotherapy
Borderline experience belongs to a more fragile field of experience: a deep sense of split leads the sufferer to desire and at the same time loathe contact with the other. Borderline experience can therefore be seen as a profound relational phenomenon, the situation of which can be seen as very challenging in psychotherapeutic practice. In relation to eating, we can find a whole and often changing spectrum of styles of adapting to this challenge, which may involve restricting and controlling food intake, including anorexia, binge eating or bulimia.
In this weekend workshop, we will explore both theoretically and practically the phenomenon of the borderline experience, with a special excursus on individual adaptations through eating. A special focus will be on our psychotherapeutic approach, both relationship-orientated and situation-related.
